The medical assisting certificate program offered by the Chemeketa Community College can be completed in less than a year. Graduates will be able to take up the National Center for Competency Testing and National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) examinations, along with the National Certified Phlebotomy Technician (NCPT) exam. The students will also be able to acquire the Basic Life Support CPR Certification of the American Heart Association during their course. To qualify for the certification, 41 credit hours are required. Their terms are divided into two cohorts per year, fall and spring, which starts from July and February every year, respectively.
